Marley shines as Cline-Holder nabs
pair of victories

Cody Marley put on quite a show for the Cline-Holder
baseball team on Saturday at Jim Ensor Field.
Hurling a no-hitter and striking out 18 batters,
Marley also homered and tripled in a 2-for-2 showing for Cline-Holder,
posted a 5-1 decision over KFC in an American Little League
tilt.
Kendall Wash and Roger Brown made 1-for-2 contributions
for Cline-Holder.
Jacques Romaine kept KFC from being shut out,
scoring a run in the sixth.
Marley wasn't through, though. His sixth-inning
home run in a make-up contest against KFC proved to the game-winner,
lifting Cline-Holder to a 3-2 win.
Marley batted 2-for-3 with a pair of runs. KFC
got a double from Micha Cates, a single from Alec Whitehead
and two runs from Sam Adams.

Elizabethton Federal 6
The outfield fence was no match for Nick Papantoniou's
power.
Blasting a pair of home runs, Papantoniou led
Expert Express to a three-run victory over Elizabethton Federal.
Papantoniou and Aaron Bradford both batted 2-for-2,
scoring three runs apiece.
Franky Birchfield added a 2-for-3 effort while
Blake Russell had a single and a sacrifice to back the solid
pitching of Hunter Taylor.
Brett Price went 1-for-1 with a sacrifice to
pace Elizabethton Federal. Nathaniel Morefield ripped a double
and scored a pair of runs.

T&C put on quite an offensive display, keyed
by the bats of Josh Peterson, Bryant Collins and Josh Lipford.
With all three batters collecting two hits, Lipford
had a double and a triple while Peterson and Collins each
finished with a single and a two-bagger.
Jeff Peters, who scored three runs, and Jonathan
Chapman chipped in 1-for-1 efforts apiece. Justin Pierce got
the job done on the mound, throwing a two-hitter and striking
out nine batters in a victorious performance.
Justin Nave, 1-for-1, and Logan Carden, 1-for-2,
were tops for A-1.

Summers Taylor 8
Adam Colbaugh pitched four innings for a win,
drilled a home run and accounted for a double to lead the
Bankers to a big payday.
J.D. Scalf contributed a pair of doubles and
three runs for Citizens, which got a home run and a double
from Jeremy Hall plus a double and a triple from Hunter Peters.
Stephen Brickey chipped in a 2-for-3 outing for
the winners.
Leading Summers-Taylor was Lucas Teague at 2-for-4
with a double. Derek Holder was 1-for-2.

With Summers-Taylor pouring on a good helping
of offense, Derrick Holden held KFC to just one hit in a decisive
outcome.
Dakota Waters went 2-for-3 to lead the Summers-Taylor
charges, while Lucas Teague, James Matheson and Wesley Keylon
chipped in one hit apiece.
Matheson scored a trio of runs.
Phillip Plale accounted for the lone KFC hit,
and Jacques Romain scored the one run.

A-1 Auto 4
Jarred Irick went 3-for-3, tripled and scored
a trio of runs to propel Lawn Care past A-1.
Bryant Collins and Jeff Peters both added 2-for-2
performances, scoring three runs apiece. Collins tagged two
doubles and Peters a home run and a double.
Cory Miller tripled, walked and totaled three
runs for the winners.
A-1 had one hit on the day, coming from Justin
Nave.
