Burgie Drug chalks up first win,
beating Cash Express

Burgie Drug captured its first win of the season
on Saturday, by holding off Cash Express 4-3 in National Little
League action.
Zack Miller hurled the Burgies to victory, giving
up three runs on three hits, and Burgie played solid defense
behind him.
Miller also ripped a double for the only hit
Burgie was able to muster.
Drew Chambers finished one-for-two on the day
for the Cash Express squad, while Matthew Plase and Wyatt
Penrod each finished the day one-for-three.

Lance Reed got credit for the victory at the
Twins broke open a 2-2 ball game with five runs in the eighth.
Reed got the win in relief, coming in with the score tied
at 2-each.
Ben McKinney had a three-for-four day at the
dish for the Twins, while Roy Edwards was two-for-four and
Reed got a hit in his only official at-bat.
For the Auctioneers Blake Hopson finished the
day two-for-three while Brandon Woods and Chris Brumit were
each one-for-three.
Garrett Dykes suffered the loss.

Three players had multiple hit games as Matt
Cannon, William Wagner and Wendell Loving each had two-for-three
days as 6-Sigma earned a win to back the pitching of Daniel
Simerly who earned the win.
Brent Powell was two-for-two for Grindstaff and
Jerry Berkley and Cory Blevins were each one-for-one. Logan
Bowling took the loss.

BET Welding struck for seven runs in the top
of the fourth frame to break open a 1-1 ball game and stake
Casey Crapps to a win over Carter County Bank.
Brandon Fair and Luke Snyder were each two-for-three,
while Michael Hutchins two-for-four.
Cain McWalters was two-for-two for the Bankers,
while Chase Depew was one-for-two and Isiah Osborne finished
two-for-three.

BET tallied nine runs in a pivotal third inning
explosion that erased a 2-1 Cash Express lead and led the
Express to victory. Michael Hutchins was three-for-three with
a pair of triples, while Joe Guinn was one-for-one and Adam
Buck had a triple in three at-bats.
Drew Chambers was two-for-two and C.J. Campbell
was one-for-two. Josh Sorah got the win while Jared Cline
absorbed the defeat.

Carter County Bank exploded for eight runs in
the fourth as they erased a 5-3 Sigma lead as the Bankers
romped to victory.
Derrick McCann was two-for-two, Ethan Laws was
one-for-one and Kenny Yarberry, Cain McWalters and Heath Honeycutt
were all one-for-two. Chase Depew got the win, while Wendell
Loving took the loss.
Richard Lovelace, William Wagner and Daniel Simerly
all had one-for-two outings for 6-Sigma.
