Busy bats propel T&C  to win over A-1 Auto

   T&C Lawn Care used a 15-hit attack, including a Jeff Peters home-run blast, to cruise past A-1 Auto 23-4 in an American Little League contest Tuesday night at Jim Ensor Field.
   Peters also tripled. He and Bryant Collins scored four runs apiece to support the solid pitching of Justin Pierce (10 strikeouts).
   Franky Covarrubias contributed a pair of hits and three runs for Lawn Care, which got two hits apiece from Kevin Largent, Josh Lipford and Corey Miller.
   A-1 Auto got one hit each from Logan Carden, who doubled, Jordan Taylor and Zack Naylor.

   Jeremy Hall twirled a nifty one-hitter, striking out 10 batters along the way as the Bankers blanked Summers-Taylor.
   Hall helped his own cause in a big way, going 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles. Marcus Hill, Jake Hodge (1 triple), J.D. Scalf (1 triple) and Adam Colbaugh (1 double) each had two hits for the winning team.
   Summers-Taylor received its lone hit from Daniel Jenkins, who singled with one out in the top of the sixth.
   NATIONAL LEAGUE

   Cain McWalters and Derrick Mann combined on a no-hitter for Carter County Bank, which pumped up its run total with an eight-run third.
   With McWalters picking up the win, Chase Depew led the way at the plate for CCB, batting 2-for-2. Isiah Osborne and Kenny Yarberry both batted 2-for-3, while Heath Honeycutt was 1-for-1.
   Burgie got some good defensive play from Jordan Meredith and Zack Miller.

   Justin Peters worked a three-hitter on the mound and went 1-for-2 at the dish to lead Valley Forge Auction to a tight-fisted victory.
   Daniel Roberts had a 1-for-1 effort for VFA, with Chris Brumit, Jordan Hodges and Garrett Dykes each going 1-for-2.
   The key inning for Auction was the second, which produced four runs for the winners.
   Logan Bowling, at 1-for-1, topped the Grindstaff cause. Corey Blevins and Jerry Berkley both batted 1-for-2.
