'Dogs make huge rally, lose to UC

   ERWIN -- It was nearly a miraculous comeback for Hampton against Unicoi County on Wednesday, as the Bulldogs scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to tie the contest before absorbing a 14-13 Watauga Conference loss.
   A grand slam by Adam Miller in the last frame enabled the Bulldogs to close the gap from five runs down, but the Blue Devils managed a run to end the inning and snare the victory.
   Unicoi County pulled out the victory when Ryan Corn knocked a base hit to drive in Dusty Tolley.
   Corn went 4-for-6 at the plate to pace the Devils. Miller had a game to remember for the 'Dogs, going 4-for-5 at the plate with two doubles and the grand slam.

   KINGSPORT -- Cody Montgomery and Zack Crabtree had two hits and an RBI apiece for Hampton, but the Bulldogs lost to Sullivan North at Hunter Wright Stadium in the high school portion of the Kingsport Classic.
   C.J. Hackler went 4-for-4 to pace North.
