Lady Buffs ink soccer recruit
from staff reports
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Head coach Dave Dixon announced
that Jenna Zutt, a senior from Louisville, Ky., has signed
a letter of intent to attend Milligan College and join the
Lady Buffaloes' soccer program.
Zutt played for coach Gary Williams at Christian
Academy of Louisville (CAL) and the Javanon Soccer Club under
coaches John Zutt and Brent Rainey.
Zutt served as team co-captain for four years
at CAL, leading them to the 2002 All "A" Kentucky State Championship.
Her play earned her many awards, including All-District and
All-State for 4 seasons and All-Region for three seasons.
She capped off her career as a senior by making
first team all-district, first team all-state and first team
all-region while being named a finalist for the Miss Kentucky
Soccer award.
Zutt also excelled in the classroom, earning
academic all-state honors for four years and being named to
the National Honor Society.
As a defender with the Javanon 86's, Zutt helped
lead the team to the 2003 Kentucky U-17 State Championship
and a spot in the regional tournament. She also competed for
four years with the Kentucky State ODP team.
Coach Dixon is extremely excited about bringing
Zutt on board.
"Jenna brings with her a wealth of experience
and talent, and I'm expecting her to make an immediate impact
on the program," he said. "She is very quick and highly skilled
and will be able to step in and play at a very high level.
Jenna is a perfect fit for our college both on and off the
field."
Zutt will join her older sister, Kristin, who
signed with Milligan as a freshman last year.
