Blossman upends Peebles

Only three complete innings were played before
time was called as Amanda Schultz and Kadey Robinson split
a no-hitter, lifting Blossman Gas to a 12-1 victory over Peebles
in Elizabethton National Little League softball action Friday
night.
Robinson had two singles and Schultz had a double
to led the Blossman batters. Schultz was credited with the
win, while the loss was given to Megan Guinn.

Big John's 2
Kayla Wilson and Bethany Collins each had one
hit with Chesney Cox picking up the win for the Elizabethton
Police Department in the four-inning contest.
Pitcher Mindy Montgomery had two hits and Julie
Nutter had one in the loss for Big John's.
NATIONAL LITTLE LEAGUE
Saturday's Games
Greg's Pizza 10
Kentucky Fried Chicken 0
Josh Peterson gave up two hits and one walk while
registering eight strikeouts in the Greg's win. Jacob Davis
came in for the final two innings allowing only two hits and
no walks.
Davis led the team in hitting going 3-for-3.
Bobby Campbell, Joe Guinn and Peterson had two hits apiece.
Caleb Durant led KFC going 2-for-2 with Summer Garland and
Clayton Ray each getting a hit.

Valley Forge Auction 0
Derek Mann lined one over the right centerfield
fence in the bottom of the fifth for the ten-run rule. Caleb
Palm and Matthew Potter each had one hit for Carter County
Bank.
Caleb Banks picked up the win with a no-hitter
through three inning before being relieved by Eli Osborne,
who gave up only one hit to Cody Jenkins.
AMERICAN LEAGUE
Friday's Games
Elizabethton Federal 8
Citizens Bank 7
Brett Price scored three runs leading Elizabethton
Federal to the win in the battle of the banks. Federal got
off to a fast start scoring six runs in the top of the first
as Price picked up the win.
Tyler Ballard and Jake Hubbard each scored two
runs for Citizens. Logan Carden, who scored one run himself,
was credited with the loss.
T-n-C Lawn Care 7, Citizens Bank 1
Jonathan Chapman, Tyler Jaynes and Austin Nanney
each had two hits leading T-n-C Lawn Care to the win over
Citizens. Justin Pierce picked up the win scattering four
hits over six innings.
Tyler Ballard's home run was the lone score for
Citizens Bank. He and Zach Naylor each had two hits in the
loss.

Summers-Taylor 2
Zack Boles scored three runs and winning pitcher
Kyle Walsh scored one leading Cline-Holder to the win over
Summers.
Danny Bales and Darrell Reece each scored a run
for Summers-Taylor as Jaymon Wilson was credited with the
loss.

KFC Piney Flats 3
Dustin Turbyfield had two hits and scored two
runs leading Elizabethton Federal to the run-away victory.
Coty Buckles, Brett Price, Billy Palmer, David McInturff and
Logan Shell each collected one hit for Elizabethton.
Dustin Treadway, Alec Whitehead and Jared Shrader
each had a hit in the loss for KFC Piney Flats.
