HV girls blank Myrtle Beach

   MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Alicia Dick's pitching arm and Terra Whaley's bat propelled Happy Valley's Lady Warriors to a 6-0 victory over Myrtle Beach in the Grand Strand Softball Classic on Monday.
   Tossing a four-hitter, Dick struck out 10 batters as she pushed her record on the season to 2-1.
   Whaley topped an 11-hit HV attack by going 4-for-5 with four RBIs. Kate Powell and Randi Williams turned in complementary efforts, collecting two hits apiece.
   Clinging to a 1-0 lead, the Lady Warriors gave themselves some breathing room by scoring a pair of runs in the sixth, then polished things off with a three-run seventh.
   There were no errors in the contest.
