Buffs advance with 12-1 win

Cutting loose for 10 second-inning runs, Milligan
opened postseason play by blasting Union College 12-1 on Day
2 of the Blue Lizard Australian Suncream AAC Baseball Championship
on Tuesday at Anglin Field.
David Rusaw and Brad Hitch turned in strong offensive
performances for the Buffaloes, with both players batting
3-for-4. Rusaw totaled three RBIs and Hitch two RBIs.
Matt Simmons picked up the win on the hill.
The Buffs will be in action at 9 a.m. today at
Cardinal Park in Johnson City.

Tennessee Wesleyan 7
With Patrick Mcklveen, Andrew Belcher and Vince
Bush collecting three hits apiece, King upset the top-seeded
Bulldogs at Cardinal Park.
Mcklveen picked up a double, a triple and four
RBIs while Belcher doubled and scored three runs. Bush added
a pair of RBIs, and Tito Rodriguez pitched five innings for
the victory.
Josh Howard homered in a 2-for-5 showing for
Wesleyan.

Montreat 5
Chris Hicks drove in four runs and Ray Gill drove
in three in leading Brevard past Montreat in a seven-inning
game at Cardinal Park.
Hicks was 2-for-3 with a run while Gill batted
2-for-5 with a double.
Montreat's Scott LeFler went 2-for-2, including
a home run, and scored twice. Mitch Williams added a 2-for-4
effort with a pair of runs.
Brevard scored 11 runs in the second inning to
break up a 3-3 tie. Joey Cress went the distance for the win.
