Inland thwarts Eliz. Federal

Inland Paperboard cut loose for eight runs in
their final two at-bats on Monday to snag a 9-6 victory over
Elizabethton Federal in Carter County American Little League
play.
It was the first win of the season for Inland,
which overcame an early 5-0 deficit.
Britt Yelton was the main man for Paperboard,
going 3-for-4 with a home run while getting the win on the
hill. Jared Reece and Jaymon Wilson followed offensively at
2-for-3, and Jordan Pearce chipped in with a 1-for-3 effort.
Tops for Federal were David McInturff, who batted
2-for-3, and Dustin Turbyfill, 1-for-1. John Hardin and Matt
Fair added 1-for-3 showings.

Summers-Taylor 2
A three-run third proved to be the key inning
for David's Auto as Jordan Taylor crushed a two-run double
and later scored on a groundout by Justin Nave.
Taylor finished with a 2-for-3 performance, with
teammates Alex Chambers batting 1-for-1 and Jake Hubbard 1-for-2.
Daniel Murray went 1-for-2 to top Summers-Taylor.
Dakota Waters, John Taylor and Crystal Covington followed
at 1-for-3.
Alex Chambers picked up the win for David's Auto.
