Hampton takes both ends of twin-bill
vs. Cloudland

Hampton had no trouble putting runs on the board
Monday, knocking off Cloudland 13-9 and 16-2 in a non-conference
baseball doubleheader on the Bulldog diamond.
In Game 1, Brandon Barnett (2-1) held Cloudland
to just one run over the first four innings in collecting
the win. The Highlanders cut loose for eights runs in the
fifth, but Kevin Harrison entered in relief and finished out
the game.
Dustin Crumley was tops for the Bulldogs, going
2-for-2 with a pair of doubles.
The second game saw Hampton produce two big innings,
scoring five in the first and eight in the fourth.
Harrison had his way at the plate, batting 3-for-3
with four RBIs, while teammate Michael McCall contributed
a solid 2-for-2 effort.
Adam Miller pitched the win, giving up four hits
over five innings of work.
Dakota Benfield led the 'Landers with a pair
of hits in Game 2.
Hampton (11-12) plays at Volunteer today while
Cloudland (6-10) entertains University High.
