Chambers pitches Burgie past VFA

Drew Chambers pitched a three-hitter on Monday
night to lift Burgie Drug to a 7-2 victory over Valley Forge
Auction in an Elizabethton National Little League game.
Burgie broke a 2-2 tie with five runs in the
top of the sixth, making a winner out of Chambers.
Casey Crapps, Jordan Meredith and Daniel Wilson
spearheaded the Burgie bats with 2-for-3 performances. Zack
Miller followed at 1-for-2 and Aaron Vaughn at 1-for-3.
Chris Dunbar carried a big bat for VFA, pounding
out a triple and a single. John Robinson went 1-for-3.

Unbeaten Carter County Motors made the first
inning count the most, plating five runs as the Bankers committed
three errors.
Stacey Sheffield worked the mound for the win,
throwing a three-hitter, and Jake Hodge paced the Motors bats
with a 1-for-1 game.
Brandon Birchfield, Nolan Childers, Chris Pierce
and Seth Fleenor went 1-for-2 for Motors.
Chase Depew batted 2-for-2 with a triple and
a single for Carter County Bank. Derek Mann went 1-for-2.

Tri-Cities Nissan 3
Carter County Motors only had two hits, but still
remained undefeated with a close decision over Tri-Cities
Nissan.
Brandon Birchfield struck out 13 batters in a
winning performance for Motors, which tallied two runs in
the bottom of the sixth to get the job done.
Chris Pierce, 1-for-1, and Nick Kyte, 1-for-2,
had the two hits for Motors.
Taylor Gouge led Nissan at 1-for-1. Ethan Pritchard
was 1-for-2 and Logan Bowling 1-for-3.
Ethan Fleenor pitched well in defeat for Tri-Cities.

Six Sigma 1
Going 2-for-2 at the plate and yielding just
four hits on the mound, Jordan Hodges led VFA to a convincing
win over Sigma.
Hodges a run in the first, then pitched shutout
ball the rest of the way in picking up the victory.
John Robinson and Bradley McVey went 1-for-1
while Garrett Dykes and Chris Dunbar batted 1-for-2 for Valley
Forge.
Ethan McKinney and Cody Tolley topped Sigma with
1-for-1 efforts. Brandon Woodby and Chris Richardson were
1-for-2.
