Pitcher Justin Pierce and T-N-C Lawn Care held
David's Auto Sales to two hits on Saturday, en route to a 15-2
triumph in Carter County American Little League activity at
Jim Ensor Field.
Besides picking up the win, Pierce had a 2-for-3
game at the plate. Josh Peterson and Franky Covarrubias also
went 2-for-3, and Jonathan Chapman chipped in at 1-for-3.
Lawn Care was trailing 2-1 before scoring five
runs in the third, then eight more in the fifth to win going
away.
Jordan Taylor accounted for both of David's Auto's
hit in a 2-for-3 performance.
Cline-Holder 9
Elizabethton Federal 1
With Zack Boles going 3-for-3 and Greg Sams getting
the job done on the mound, Cline-Holder cruised to victory against
Elizabethton Federal.
Sams notched the win, and turned in a 2-for-3 game
at the plate. Michael Bowers added a 1-for-2 showing, with Nick
Jenkins going 1-for-3.
Brett Price was tops for Elizabethton Federal,
batting 2-for-3. Nathan Shoun was 1-for-1, Travis Tolley 1-for-2
and David McInturff 1-for-3.
KFC 16
Inland 6
Sam Adams led the KFC's booming bats with a three
hits in four at-bats, and Micah Cates pitched well enough to
contain Inland and pick up a win.
Cates and Alec Whitehead contributed 2-for-3 efforts
while Bruce Crumley finished up at 2-for-4.
Britt Yelton led Inland with a 2-for-3 effort.
Jordan Pearce was 1-for-2, with Sam Parlier and Jaymon Wilson
going 1-for-3.
A nine-run third underscored the KFC performance.

Summers-Taylor 6
Adam Colbaugh and Franky Birchfield provided the
muscle while Hunter Peters banged out three hits in four at-bats
as Citizens Bank subdued Summers-Taylor.
Colbaugh (2-for-2) homered in the second and fourth
innings, and Birchfield (2-for-3) helped set the tone for this
game with a home run in the first. Steven Brickey chipped in
a 1-for-2 showing, and Jacob Taylor pitched the win.
Leaders for Summers-Taylor were Dakota Waters,
D.J. Puckett and Shane Wilkes at 2-for-2. Josh Taylor followed
with a 1-for-2 clip.
Citizens tallied 10 runs in the second inning.

KFC 7
Cline-Holder 3
A 2-for-2 showing by Dan Campbell coupled with
a 2-for-3 effort from Micah Cates propelled KFC past Cline-Holder.
Bruce Crumley, Jordan Adams and Greg Sams each
contribued 1-for-3 games for KFC, which got a solid win on the
hill from Andy Hardin.
Leading the way for Cline-Holder was Michael Bowers
at 1-for-2. Greg Sams and Logan Andrews chipped in at 1-for-3
apiece.

Summers-Taylor 7
Inland Containers 2
Winning pitcher Josh Taylor hurled a good game
while Daniel Murray had a 2-for-2 day at the plate, lifting
Summers-Taylor to victory.
Shane Wilkes added a 1-for-1 effort for S-T, with
Dakota Waters and D.J. Puckett each going 1-for-3.
Britt Yelton led Inland with a 1-for-2 clip.
Citizens Bank 5
T-N-C Lawn Care 0
Two errors led to a heartbreak loss for Lawn Care,
which gave up just one earned run.
Adam Colbaugh took care of business on the mound
for Citizens, striking out 14 batters and walking just one while
collecting the win.
T-N-C's Justin Pierce and Josh Peterson combined
for 15 Ks.
Franky Birchfield went 2-for-3 to pace the Bankers
at the dish. Colbaugh followed at 1-for-1, Jacob Taylor batted
1-for-2 and Hunter Peters was 1-for-3.

each went 1-for-3.
