HV tames Bulldogs

   Jessie Blevins went two-for-two with a home run to her credit and Katie Powell added a long ball as well as the Lady Warriors bombed Hampton on Thursday night.
   The Lady Warriors struck for five runs in the second to break open a 1-0 ballgame and stake starter Leanna Howell to a big lead. Kortney Goulds took over for Howell in the third and went the rest of the way striking out three over five innings of work.
   Hampton scored a pair of runs in the third to cut the Happy Valley lead to 6-3 after three frames, but the Lady Warriors put the contest away with three in the fourth and four more in the seventh.
   Goulds went two-for-four at the dish while Powell was red-hot with a three-for-four afternoon.
