S-T wins run-fest vs. E-Fed

Summers-Taylor and Elizabethton Federal made
for an offensive showcase on Saturday at Jim Ensor Field,
with S-T capturing a 16-10 decision.
The teams combined for 18 of the game's 26 runs
in the final two innings.
Providing much of the offensive firepower for
Summers-Taylor were Crystal Covington and Dakota Waters with
four hits apiece. Josh Taylor added two hits, while Roger
Bailey chimed in with an inside-the-park home run.
Brett Price had two hits for Federal, with Jonathan
Hardin, Drew Shingleton and Travis Tolley each getting one
hit. D.J. Pucket was the winning pitcher for Summers.
Citizens Bank 6
Cline-Holder 1
Citizens deposited four runs on the scoreboard
in the first tow innings to beat Cline-Holder in the opener
on Saturday. Adam Colbaugh was the star as winning pitcher,
going 2-for-2 at the plate with one of those hits, a two-run
homer in the fourth inning.
Franky Birchfield and Jacob Taylor also collected
hits for Citizens. Zack Boles and Logan Andrews each had hits
for Cline-Holder.
T-n-C Lawn Care 13
KFC 2
Justin Pierce threw a three-inning no-hitter
as T-n-C was dynamite in routing KFC.
Josh Peterson came in relief only to surrender
one hit to close out the game.
Pierce, Peters and Josh Lipford all had two hits
apiece for T-n-C, while losing pitcher Dan Campbell provided
the only hit for KFC.
David's Auto Sales 8
Inland Paper 7
David's Autos came up big in the final inning,
scoring three runs in the top of the sixth to propel them
to the victory. Winning pitcher Jordan Taylor had three hits
to lead David's with Jake Hubbard and Austin Reed providing
assistance in the form of one hit apiece.
On the other side, losing pitcher Britt Yelton
has to be commended for his effort at the plate going 4-for-4.
Jordan Pearce, Jared Reece and Brian Hamby each added two
hits and James Booth added one for Inland.
Friday's Games
KFC 7
Elizabethton Federal 2
KFC exploded for seven runs in the second inning
to take a 7-2 victory over Elizabethton Federal Friday in
Carter County American Little League action at Jim Ensor Field.
Bruce Crumley led the offensive charge for KFC
garnering two hits. Joseph Campbell, Dan Campbell and Jordan
Adams were the other leading hitters for KFC, while Micah
Cates picked up the win on the mound.
Brett Price, Travis Tolley and Dennis Turbyfield
each accounted for a hit apiece for Elizabethton Federal.
T-N-C 6
Summers-Taylor 2
Tyler Jaynes going 2-for-2 at the plate spurred
T-n-C to the win over Summers-Taylor. T-n-C took a 4-0 over
the first two innings and maintained a lead of at least three
runs the remainder of the contest.
Franky Covarrubias and Josh Peterson were amongst
the other leading hitters for T-n-C. Josh Lipford picked up
the win, allowing only four hits.
Crystal Covington, Dakota Waters and Roger Bailey
were among those, who had hits for the losing squad, with
pitcher Waters being credited the mark in the loss column.
