Citizens clips Elizabethton Federal

   Highlighted by Jared Whitehead's two-run single, Citizens Bank scored three runs in the top of the sixth to defeat Elizabethton Federal 6-4 in Carter County American Little League action at Jim Ensor Field on Monday night.
   The Bankers were trailing 4-3 after Federal tallied a run in the bottom of the fifth.
   Jacob Taylor was 2-for-3 and Whitehead 1-for-1 in leading offensive roles for Citizens, which got one hit apiece from Hunter Peters and Franky Birchfield.
   Marcus Hill picked up the win from the mound.
   Tops for Federal was Jonathan Hardin at 2-for-3. Matthew Fair and Brett Price had one hit apiece.
   Cline-Holder 16
   Summers-Taylor 0
   Zack Boles got the job done on the mound and at the plate, lifting Cline-Holder to a decisive win.
   In addition to pitching shutout baseball, Boles batted 3-for-4. Teammates Kenall Wash and Jonathan Nichlos turned in 2-for-3 performances.
   For Summers-Taylor, Daniel Murray, D.J. Puckett and Dakota Waters all went 1-for-2.

   A 19-hit attack and some excellent pitching made for a convincing Lawn Care triumph.
   Knox Eryasa batted 4-for-4 and Tyler Jaynes 3-for-4 in providing heavy support for winning pitcher Justin Pierce, who limited Inland to one hit.
   Jacob Hitchcock, with a 2-for-2 effort, and Josh Lipford, 2-for-4, had good outings for T-N-C. Britt Yelton, at 1-for-2, dented the lone hit for Inland.
   KFC 20
   David's Auto Sales 0
   Jordan Adams and Dan Campbell took care of the offense, going 4-for-4 apiece, and Andy Hardin supplied shutout pitching as KFC rolled past David's Auto Sales.
   Sam Adams totaled three hits for KFC. Brandon Taylor led David's Auto with a 1-for-2 showing.
