No-hitters run rampant at AL park

Jeremy Hall and Adam Colbaugh worked together
on a no-hitter Saturday, lifting Citizen's Bank to a 16-0
rout of A1 Auto at Jim Ensor Field.
Hall, who pitched until the top of the fourth,
and Colbaugh recorded all 15 A1 outs by strikeout.
Both players contributed nicely with the bat
as Hall doubled twice and scored two runs, and Colbaugh homered,
singled and scored twice.
Hunter Peters went 3-for-3 with a double and
two runs to lead the Bankers sticks, overall.
T&C Lawn Care 19
KFC 0
One no-hitter wasn't enough on Saturday as T&C's
Josh Lipford and Josh Peterson did the trick against Kentucky
Fried Chicken.
Jeff Peters led Lawn Care at the dish, batting
2-for-2 with a double, a triple and three runs. Peterson went
2-for-2, collecting a double, and Jarred Irick was 2-for-3,
scored three runs and had a two-bagger of his own.
Franky Covarrubias went 1-for-1, denting a double
for the winners. He tallied three runs.
Cline-Holder 14
Elizabethton Federal 9
Cody Marley and Thomas Roddy each batted 1-for-1
with two walks and a trio of runs as Cline-Holder got past
the boys of Elizabethton Federal.
James Warwick added a 1-for-1 showing, with Jeremey
Sommers and Logan Andrews chipping in a base hit apiece. Kendall
Wash produced three runs.
Chris Dishman paced the Federal attack, going
2-for-3. Dustin Milhorn doubled while Nathaniel Morefield
and Jonathan Hardin each went 1-for-1.
Expert Express 20
Summers-Taylor 8
Nick Papantoniou underscored a 21-hit Express
output with a 3-for-3 day that packaged a pair of doubles,
a home run and four runs scored.
Shane Heaton (1 double, 1 triple), Blake Russell
and Britt Yelton (1 double) played major offensive roles for
Expert, each batting 3-for-3. Recording two hits apiece were
Dustin Carden (2 doubles), Hunter Taylor (1 triple), Crystal
Covington and Brent Thomas (1 double, 1 triple).
Lucas Teague, going 1-for-1 with a pair of walks,
led the way for Summers-Taylor. James Matheson went 1-for-2,
and Dustin Arnett and Josh Taylor ripped out doubles.

KFC 0
Continuing the early-season theme of great pitching,
Justin Pierce hurled a no-hitter as T&C cruised to this
AL victory.
Pierce nearly had a perfect game, allowing just
one baserunner by virtue of a walk.
Jarred Irick, Cory Miller, E.J. Newbern and Kevin
Largent were tops for the Lawn Care boys at the plate.
KFC received a solid defensive game from Micah
Cates.
Citizen's Bank 17
A1-Auto 4
J.D. Scalf was the main man for Citizen's Bank,
going 3-for-3 and pitching his team to a convincing victory
under the Friday night lights.
The Bankers' Matthew Gouge had a big 3-for-3
game of his own, while Jeremy Hall and Marcus Hill each went
2-for-2. One of Hall's hits was good for a home run.
Aaron Taylor, Caleb Osborne and Brandon Taylor
led the way for A-1.
