Lady Bucs sweep A&T

   JOHNSON CITY -- The East Tennessee State Lady Buccaneers snapped a six-game losing streak with a 3-2 and 21-0 sweep of North Carolina A&T on Tuesday afternoon at Metro-Kiwanis Park.
   In the opener Tiffany Vandergriff out-dueled Aggies' starter Cheretta Stevenson, with both hurlers going the distance.
   Vandergriff benefited from a three-run Lady Bucs uprising in the third frame with Miranda Byerly and Rhea Hollier delivered RBI hits to overcome a two-run deficit.
   Vandergriff allowed no runs on just two hits after the third and allowed just six hits on the day. Vandergriff struck out five and walked one in winning her fourth game of the season against five losses.
   In the nightcap the Lady Bucs bats exploded against Aggies' stater Ebony Stevenson for 15 runs and nine hits in four innings.
   Danielle Spetar, Hollier, Lindsey Lane and Amy Moore all hit home runs for ETSU, with Lane plating six runs and Spetar driving home four.
   In the second inning the Lady Bucs took control, scoring 14 runs in the frame, sending 18 batters to the plate. Spetar's grand-slam homer was the big blow in the Bucs uprising.
   Lane finished the game two-for-three with a double, homer and six RBI, while Spetar also hit two-for-three with the grand slam, and Clark finished three-for-four with three doubles.
