The T.A. Dugger Lady Jr. Cyclones traveled to Johnson City on Friday looking to continue their winning ways.
It was not meant to be as Ashley Jackson of Indian Trail hurled two-hit ball in game one as Indian Trail came from behind trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth to take Game 1, 3-2.
Ryann Musick was the hard-luck loser as the Lady Jr. 'Clones had staked her to the 2-1 lead going into the final frame.
The Cyclones roared out of the gates in Game 2 taking an early 4-0 lead in the first against pitcher Alisha Shoun without registering an out. That's when Indian Trail sounded the call to their ace, Jackson, to come in and take care of business against T.A. Dugger.
Jackson held the 'Clones in check and her team rallied to take a 8-5 decision in the second contest. Mary Edgar suffered the defeat as she collected five strikeouts and no walks.
T.A. Dugger, who hadn't committed an error all season, made up for it in a bad way committing five errors to add to their woes.
Cameron Crapps and Katie Hubbard paced the Lady Jr. Clones with Crapps going 2-5 including a triple on the day while Hubbard added a 2-4 performance.
T.A. Dugger's record runs to 3-3 for the season and they will travel to Unicoi on Friday for a double dip with the Jr. Lady Devils.
