Points battle set to begin at dragway

   BRISTOL -- Coming off one of Bristol Dragway's most successful seasons, the battle for wins and points championships begins Saturday with the first points race of the year.
   The 2002 Bracket Racing season kicks off for all five classes of racing, including Super Pro, Pro Sportsman, Pro Bike and Junior Dragster. This is the first of 14 points races that will decide the 2002 Bristol Dragway track champions. The season finale will take place on Sept. 14-15 with a bracket racing doubleheader.
   The Super Pro winner of each points race will take home $2,000 while the Pro champ will earn $1,000. Top prize in Sportsman is $100 and Pro Bikers will earn $150. Junior Dragster winners take home a $100 savings bond.
   Entry fees are as follows: Super Pro $45, Pro $35, Sportsman $20, Pro Bike $20 and Junior Dragster $10. Admission for spectators is $10 while children 13-and-under will be admitted free.
   Gates open Saturday at 12:30 p.m. with time trials set for 2. Eliminations get underway at 6:30.
