   ATHENS --The Milligan College Lady Buffs tennis team defeated Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) foe Tennessee Wesleyan Saturday afternoon by a final score of 6-3.
   Despite forfeiting their No. 3 doubles match and their No. 5 and 6 singles matches due to injuries and other circumstances, the Bulldogs were able to beat the Lady Buffs in both doubles matches.
   Cassie Lomison and Cheri Lomison of Milligan lost 9-7 to Dara Dameron and Betsy Garrett of Tenn. Wesleyan at No. 1 doubles. Noel Cabrera and Yuri Kamawaki defeated Milligan's Amber Campbell and Lyndsey Bowie in the No. 2 doubles position.
   The Lady Buffs pulled through in singles, however, and claimed the victory overall. Winning for Milligan were No. 1 Cassie Lomison (7-6, 6-0), No. 2 Campbell (6-2, 6-2), and No. 3 Bowie (5-7, 6-3, 6-3). Sara Wallingford of Milligan lost in the No. 4 position to Garrett by a score of 6-2, 6-0.
   Their victory brings the Lady Buffs to an overall record of 3-3, with a 3-1 record in the AAC.
   The Lady Buffs next match will be Thursday, April 1, at Milligan College against conference opponent Montreat College. Match time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
