Buffaloes take doubleheader

HURTSVILLE, S.C. -- Using a pair of complete-game
pitching performances and a productive offense, Milligan registered
a 5-4, 8-3 baseball sweep of Coke College on Saturday afternoon.
In Game 1, the Buffs' Chad Davis got the win
by pitching nine innings. He surrendered just two earned runs
on eight hits, and struck out three.
Nathan Meade sparked the Milligan bats by going
2-for-5 and scoring two runs, and Brian Miller added an RBI
double.
Jacob McAllister twirled a seven-inning complete
game in the second contest, holding Coker to six hits and
two earned runs.
Dustin Price enjoyed a big offensive game for
the Buffs, slamming a two-run homer in a 3-for-4 showing.
He collected three RBIs and two stolen bases.
David Rusaw contributed a 2-for-3 effort that
included an RBI.
The two teams wrap up a three-game series this
afternoon on the Coker field.
