SC girls prevail on courts

   The Sullivan Central girls had a fight on their hands with Volunteer on Monday, but found a way to get the job done, claiming a 5-4 victory in a high school tennis match.
   Winning for the Lady Cougars in singles play was Stacey Wingate, 8-2 over Jennifer Jones; Amanda Queen, 8-3 over Vikki Adams; and Kylee Looney, 8-5 over Katie Jones.
   In doubles play, Wingate and Queen defeated Jones and Stevie Caldwell, 8-2, and Julie LeSueur and Looney knocked off Adams and Jones, 8-2.
   Central's boys suffered a 6-3 loss against the Falcons. Brett Hyder, 8-4 over Justin Ivory; Josh Stevens, 8-2 over Trey Vonzant; and James Eaton, 8-0 over Austin Fender; prevailed for the Cougars.
