Dugger voted top freshman in conference

   Aaron Dugger, standout player for Lees-McRae College, has been named freshman of the year in the Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference.
   Dugger, the former Unaka star, was the season's seventh-leading scorer in the CVAC, averaging 16.7 points per game, and his average of 3.5 three-pointers per game ranked 12th in the nation among NCAA Division II players.
   Averaging 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists a contest, Dugger shot 84.2 percent from the free-throw line and 36.6 percent behind the 3-point arc during the season.
   He also gained an honorable mention for the all-conference team.
