Earhart commits to play volleyball for Lady Buffs

   Tara Earhart, a standout from Tennessee High School, has signed a letter-of-intent to play volleyball next season for the Lady Buffs of Milligan College.
   Earhart is a two-time All-Conference and All-District player for Coach Peggy Dempsey at Tennessee High. She averaged three solo blocks and 10 kills per match for the Vikings as a senior.
   Earhart will bring experience at both middle and right side hitter positions for the Lady Buffs next season. Earhart, not only excel on the court, she excel in the classroom carrying a 4.0 GPA.
   "We are so excited about Tara joining our 2003 Lady Buff volleyball squad. Tara will be one of our middle hitters. With strong work ethic and her love for the game, she will be able to step in and make a difference next season," states Hyatt.
   "I have watched Tara for the last four years grow into a very talented athlete, it will be an honor to coach her. Tara is also an excellent student and I feel the fit between Tara, Milligan and our team will be a true blessing for everyone," says Hyatt.
   Earhart will be the first Lady Viking to play for Milligan College.
   "This is quite a thrill seeing Tara having the opportunity to continue her career at Milligan College," says Tennessee High head coach Peggy Dempsey. "She is an extraordinary person and athletic. It has been special knowing how much Tara has grown as a person and volleyball player these past four years. I am so proud and honored to have the opportunity to work with Tara and wish her nothing but the best."
