UHS schedules freshman  orientation, 6-year plan reviews

Unaka High School has scheduled freshman orientation for Tuesday, March 25, at 6:30 p.m. in the school gymnasium. All eighth graders who plan to attend Unaka High next year are requested to attend along with their parents and guardians.
There will be some major changes in the high school schedule and credit requirements for next school year. These changes along with attendance policies, dress codes, and other general information will be discussed.
All students entering a Tennessee high school are required to complete a six-year plan. This plan is completed during a conference with the high school counselor, parents and student. Parents must schedule an appointment with Ann Taylor, counselor. Appointments may be scheduled by calling 474-4100 during the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Evening and weekend appointments are available for parents who are unable to meet during the school day. The six-year plan meeting will serve as registration for next year's freshmen. Parents may begin calling the school to schedule an appointment after the orientation on March 25.
Parents of current students at Unaka who would like to schedule a conference to review their child's six-year plan may call the school at the above number anytime.
All six-year plan conferences for both incoming freshmen and current students must be completed before April 30. For more information, contact Ann Taylor, counselor, at 474-4102.
