Jr. Cyclones best HV, 13-0 and 7-3

   Junior high baseball season got started on Monday, and the T.A. Dugger Junior Cyclones enjoyed a smooth takeoff.
   Playing at twinbill with the Happy Valley Junior Warriors at Cannon-Gouge Park, T.A. Dugger captured a 13-0 win in the opener, and prevailed in the second game by a 7-3 score.
   The first game saw Coach Jason Carter's Cyclones bang out eight hits while holding Happy Valley to just one.
   Nick McNeal sparked the TAD bats with two hits. Andrew Kennedy, Travis Bishop, Cory Hilton, Weston Isaacs, Drew Hyder and Austin Taylor followed with one hit apiece.
   Starring on the mound for the Orange & Black were McNeal, who got the win, and Taylor, who earned a save.
   Daniel Shankle accounted for the Junior Warriors' lone hit.
   Game 2, which was abbreviated because of darkness, had the Cyclones riding the strength of another eight-hit attack.
   Hyder and Preston Smith each dented two hits for TAD, which got one hit apiece from Josh Guinn, McNeal, Kennedy and Wes Anderson.
   Blake Hopson served as the winning pitcher.
   In this game the Junior Warriors upped their offensive production to three hits, with Carrier, Whitehead and Jaynes each collecting one.
   Happy Valley returns to action on March 17 as it visits Vance. T.A. Dugger will play again on March 20, starting its conference schedule at Ross Robinson.
