Buffs split with Lee

   Brad Zachritz tossed a complete game, allowing only runs in the seventh inning, as Milligan College defeated Lee 6-3 in the opening game of a college baseball doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon.
   Game 2 saw Lee score five runs late to defeat Milligan 6-0 and salvage a split.
   Zachritz cruised through six innings, allowing only one hit and forcing 12 groundballs while improving to 1-1 on the season.
   Milligan scored five runs in the first two innings and cruise to the victory. Ben Whittemore led the charge with a two-out triple that scored Dustin Price to put the Buffs on the board in the first. He later scored on fielding error by Lee.
   Brad Hitch came around to score the third run of the innings on Nathan Meade single in the middle.
   Whittemore drove two more runs in the second inning with double on the head of Lee's leftfielder. He finished with two hits and three RBI.
   Keith Hawkins had two hits, including a double in the first inning. Jesse Dannemiller hit his first home run of the season in the sixth inning for the Buffs.
   Kevin Young hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning for Lee.
   Adam Blackwell worked the first two innings on the mound for the loss.
   Game 2
   Lee broke open a scoreless tie in the fourth inning with an unearned scored by Chris Camp. Lee added four more runs in the sixth innings to shut down Milligan.
   Kevin Young led the way by reaching base four times and scoring a run for the Flames.
   Freshman Gabe Seten tossed six scoreless innings, striking out five. He allowed four hits and no runs. Elmer Ange worked the seventh for the Flames.
   Scott Shealy reached base twice with a single and a walk. Pat Gould picked up a pinch-hit double in the fifth inning.
   Todd Speas worked four innings allowing an unearned run for the loss. He is 1-2 on the season.
   With the split, Milligan is 7-5 while Lee is 10-3.
