Jr. Cyclones sweep Devils
from staff reports
T.A. Dugger got its baseball season off to a
nice start on Thursday, getting the best of Unicoi County
15-5 and 6-5 in action from the Middle Seven Conference.
With Cory Pearson pitching his way to victory
and Weston Isaacs going 2-for-2, the Junior Cyclones easily
had their way in game 1.
Ryan Kennedy, Aaron Bray and Nick McNeal punched
out a base hit apiece for the winners.
The second game was much closer, but Adam Grindstaff's
2-for-2 batting and successful pitching performance helped
pull the Junior Cyclones through.
Pearson also went 2-for-2, while J.C. Atkinson,
Andrew Kennedy, Justin Conway and McNeal each chipped in a
hit.
According to TAD coach Jason Carter, the day
included a great team effort and a great start to the season.
