EHS nets wins over 'Horns

   The Elizabethton Cyclone men's and women's tennis scored big victories over the Johnson County Longhorns with a 9-0 decision on the girls front and a 8-1 decision with the guys.
   Adam Cornett got the only win of the day for Johnson County with his singles victory over David Reece with a 6-2 and 6-1 decision.
   Josh Davis bounced back against James Wright after losing the first set, taking the victory with two straight 6-2 margins.
   Weston Peters, Devin Johnson, Chris Taylor, and Eric Stout all had big wins over the Longhorns.
   Davis and Peters scored a big win in the doubles rank, knocking off Cornett and James Wright with a 9-7 victory.
   Eric Stout and Devin Johnson knocked off Travis McCloud and Tim Peresada with an 8-1 decision, while Brad Holtsclaw and Jamis Gouge blanked Nick McCloud and Billy Rambo, 8-0.
   On the girls front, Amanda Pike laid the smackdown on Keri Cornett with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep.
   That would be they way it finished for the 'Betsy girls, as Liz Dove, Stephanie Schumaer, Allison Parlier, and Kaci Campbell all won by that margin.
   On the doubles front, Schumaer and Fields beat Cornett and Amanda Colvin, 8-1. While Abby Bremmer and Jenny Parker defeated Ashley Cole and Laura Mullins, 8-2.
   Overall it was a good day for the Cyclones. Elizabethton travels to Sullivan South for a match set at April 2nd.
