EHS sets two school marks in state meet

   NASHVILLE--The Elizabethton Cyclone swimmers topped two school records and finished better than their seeding in this weekend's state championship event.
   The group of Garrett Johnson, Blake Dugger, Evan Lindauer and Craig Shaw broke the school record in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:40.77, which was two seconds faster than the previous mark.
   The Cyclones finished 31st out of 55 teams, and were seeded 42nd overall.
   The 200 medley relay saw Elizabethton place 35th of 52.
   Evan Lindauer was successful in two events, finishing 35th in the 200 freestyle and breaking his own school record in the 500 freestyle, finishing 48th with a 5:31.46 time.
   Blake Dugger finished 47th and 46th in the 200 individual medley and the 100 fly, respectively, after being seeded in the fifties. His 100 fly mark of 1:02.84 was a personal best.
   Craig Shaw placed 74th out of 84 with a 3:08.66 mark in the 200 freestyle, with his time being a personal best.
