EHS grapplers fall by wayside in consolations

   CHATTANOOGA -- Patrick Jenkins and Mitch Cornett were game competitors, but the medal round eluded the two Cyclone wrestlers during Friday and Saturday action from the TSSAA Division I state wrestling tournament at McKenzie Arena.
   In the 145-pound division, Jenkins fell to Bearden's Aaron O'Hern in the round of 16, losing a 7-3 decision.
   Rebounding to score a 9-0 majority decision over Rossview's George DeJesus in the consolation bracket, Jenkins saw his quest come to an end with a 5-2 loss to Cookeville's Daniel Boyce.
   George Turner of Farragut defeated Cornett by technical fall (5:43) in the 152-pound round of 16. Cornett then fell by the wayside in the consolation rounds.
