Milligan splits twin-bill on opening day

   AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Milligan College Buffaloes opened their 2004 baseball season against Georgia Southwestern State University by losing the first game 7-6 while coming back to take the second game 11-5. Todd Speas (0-1) took the loss in the first contest.
   The Buffaloes were led in hitting by Nathan Mead and Dustin Price (Science Hill) with 2-4 performances in the first game.
   In the second game senior pitcher Chris Shockley (1-0) earned the win while Michael Kennedy was tagged with the loss.
   Thomas Lister (Greeneville) went three for four with three RBIs. Milligan will play Sunday against GSW at noon. The Buffs will open their home season next Saturday against Ohio Valley College.
