HV frosh finish unbeaten
from staff reports
Undenied.
That one word sums up the season for the Happy
Valley freshman basketball team, which completed a perfect
season by knocking off Unaka 54-38 at Bayless Gym on Tuesday
night.
Coach Chuck Babb's Warrior squad, which closed
out with a 14-0 mark, wasn't about to let its undefeated record
become blemished in the last game of the season.
Racing out to a 22-6 lead by the end of the first
quarter, Happy Valley never looked back the rest of the way.
For the Warriors, Ryan May tossed in a game-high
14 points, while Todd Caldwell and Drew Davis added 10 apiece.
Chase Reeves was high man for the Rangers, scoring
10. Tee Blevins chipped in with nine.
