Cyclones turn back Vikings

BRISTOL -- Using a solid second-quarter push
and a 15-point effort from B.J. Miller, Elizabethton captured
a 48-44 non-conference victory over Tennessee High on Tuesday
night.
The Cyclones boosted their overall record to
23-3, and will journey at Unicoi County for their Watauga
Conference finale on Thursday night.
The Vikings had slight control early in the game,
leading 14-10 at the end of the first quarter.
Elizabethton, responded, picked up the pace in
the second period and grabbed a 30-26 halftime lead.
The score was 36-32 in the Cyclones' favor entering
the final stanza.
Lester Bailey and Vince Redd both scored in double
digits for EHS, netting 10 apiece, with Jordan Lambert chipping
in nine.
Porter was tops for Tennessee High with 20 points.
Buchanan added 11 for the Vikes.
