Milligan splits with Mars Hill

   MARS HILL, N.C. -- Chris Murry hit a two-run homer with two out in the sixth inning to propel Mars Hill to a 2-1 victory over the Milligan Lady Buffs on Thursday.
   Brandy Waddle picked up the loss on the mound. She had six strikeouts and no walks. Rebecca Dawson had the only RBI for the Lady Buffs.
   Game 2
   Milligan scored a run in the top of the ninth to sneak past the Lady Lions 6-5. Milligan picked up nine hits including a home run from first basemen Brooke Davis.
   Waddle pitched the final three innings to pickup the win. She improves to 1-1.
   Ashley Fine started the game on the mound working the first three innings, striking out two batters. Freshman Courtney Ruth worked the middle three innings, striking out one and walking three batters.
   Milligan will host Lees-McRae today at 2. A doubleheader is scheduled.
