Milligan women prevail, men lose

   Former Hampton standout Kari Stout scored 20 points leading Milligan to a 79-47 over Virginia Intermont in women's college basketball action on Saturday.
   Two other ex-Lady Bulldogs, Ginny White and Amanda Greene also got in on the scoring act with six and four points respectively. The Lady Buffaloes also had plenty of points from players without Hampton ties. Joy Clark netted 15 and Vera Conkin scored 13 in the winning effort.
   Kelly Sayler paced Virginia Intermont with 12 points, while another Hampton alum Kelly Shoun hit the lone three-point shot for the Lady Cobras.

   Four players hit double figures for Virginia Intermont leading them to a 75-50 rout over Milligan College Saturday at Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
   There were no snake charmers to slow down Chris Wise, who paced the Cobras with 17 points. Milligan fell behind 43-19 at the end of one half and was never able to recover.
   The Cobras dominated all phases of the game, winning the battle of the boards by an incredible 56-16 margin.
   Jonathan Harris was the leading scorer for the Buffaloes with 15 points, while Michael Morrell added 13 in the loss.
