ETSU golfers tied for third

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- After the first round of
the Charleston Southern University Kickoff Classic on Monday
at Coosaw Creek Country Club, the East Tennessee State men's
golfer stand in third place in an 18-team field.
The Buccaneers shot a 295 on the first day of
play, trailing first-round leaders Charleston Southern by
10 strokes and second-place Elon by eight strokes.
Senior James Johnson and freshman Cennydd Mills
lead the Bucs, sitting in a tie for 11th place after firing
matching 72s. The duo is four shots off the lead, held by
Matt Anderson of Florida Atlantic and Mark Hunsicker of Elon,
who shot opening-round 68s.
