Buffs upend Wise

WISE, Va. --Milligan improved their first place AAC conference record to 7-1 with a 75-60 win over UVa-Wise on Tuesday night.
For the Buffs, senior forward Jonathon Harris scored a game high 20 points along with ten rebounds. Also for Milligan, junior guard Scott Ferguson added 13 points and junior forward Craig Emmert scored 12 points.
Brandon Green led the Cavaliers with 17 points.
Milligan outrebounded Wise 42-33 on the night. Next up for the Buffs men's and women's teams is a doubleheader Thursday evening at Bluefield (Va.) College.

Despite getting 17 points fromKari Stout, Milligan College lost to UVa-Wise 53-52 Tuesday evening at Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
Sarah Helton led Wise with 14 points.
After holding a four-point lead at halftime, Wise led by four as the game neared completion.
Stout nearly pulled off a miracle finish. She hit a trey with under a second left to close the gap to one point. Stout then intercepted the inbounds pass, but missed a winning shot.
Milligan, which now stands at 2-6 in the Appalachian Athetic Conference, sports an overall record of 3-13.
