Rangers fall to Temple
CHATTANOOGA -- Despite a 28-point performance
from Aaron Dugger, Unaka dropped a 70-50 decision to Tennessee
Temple in a high school basketball game on Friday night.
The Rangers led 13-12 at the end of the first
quarter but had few answers for Jake Skogan, who pumped in
29 points for Tennessee Temple. Skogan did most of his damage
from the perimeter.
Unaka connected on eight 3-pointers, with Dustin
Collins converting four to account for his 12-point showing.
Ben Cole chipped in nine points for the Rangers.
On Saturday the Rangers bounced back with a win
over Boyd-Buchanan. No other information was available on
the game.
Playing with all freshmen and sophomores, the
Lady Rangers put forth a valiant effort on Friday night before
dropping a 35-33 showing to Temple.
Charity Rempel nailed the winning basket for
Temple with six seconds to play. The winning team was paced
by Megan Dolan, who tallied 20 points.
Danielle Ensor turned in a nice performance for
the Lady Rangers, scoring 15 points. Jessica Osborne chipped
in six.
