from staff reports

Vera Conkin and Miranda Greene combined for 23 points on Tuesday night as Milligan College captured a 55-51 AAC victory over Tennessee-Wesleyan at Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
Tennessee-Wesleyan won the men's contest 78-59 despite a strong showing from Milligan's Michael Morrell.
Greene connected of five of six shots from the floor while Conkin made five of shot attempts.
Conkin was the Lady Buffs' high rebounder with seven. Nikki Jessen chipped in nine points for Milligan, which led 24-21 at the break.
Morrell topped the Buffs with 19 points in the men's contest, but that wouldn't be nearly enough to prevent Wesleyan from taking home a victory.
Shooting 7-for-12 from the field, Morrell busted three of five attempts from 3-point land.
Craig Emmert turned in an 11-point, 8-rebound effort for the Buffs, who received 10 points from Derek Dyer.
Wesleyan was led by J.B. Watkins and Mike Brock with 25 and 20 points, respectively.
