Arrests
* Jeffrey Dwayne East, 35, 210 Stuffle St., Kingsport,
was arrested Sunday morning by Carter County Sheriff's Department
Deputy Ivan Sluder on a warrant charging him with violation
of probation and failure to appear in court.
* Benny Joe Lawson, 33, Bluefield Ave. Apt. 120,
was arrested Saturday night by CCSD Deputy Larry Robbins on
charges of driving under the influence, 5th offense; driving
on a revoked license, 5th offense, and violation of the implied
consent law. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions
Court on May 21.
* Brian Wesley Whitaker, 31, 929 Pine Ridge Circle,
was arrested Friday night by Elizabethton Police Department
Ptl. Jesus Pena on charges of assault and criminal trespassing.
* Sandra Lynn Clawson, 31, 136 Hampton Creek
Rd., Roan Mountain, was arrested Saturday night by CCSD Deputy
Bradley Johnson on a capias for failure to appear on a charge
of public intoxication and violation of probation.
* Bobby Joe Nickles, 37, 2807 S. Roan St., Johnson
City, was arrested Friday afternoon by CCSD Deputy Kevin Cable
on a charge of assault under domestic violence. He is scheduled
to appear in General Sessions Court on May 3.
* Jimmy D. Guinn, 49, 429 Greenwood Dr., Johnson
City, was arrested Sunday by CCSD Lt. Rocky Croy on charges
of driving on a revoked license, 2nd offense, and a capias
for failure to appear on a charge of DUI, 2nd offense. He
is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on May 10.
* Michael Lynn Hester, 36, 143 Commodore Ave.,
was arrested Friday night by CCSD Sgt. Penny Cornett on a
warrant for violation of probatoin.
* Kathryn Nicole Thompson, 24, 701 Hemlock St.,
was arrested Friday night by EPD Ptl. Mark Roberts on warrants
for failure to appear in court and violation of probation.
* Jesse Taylor Timbs, 21, 116 Betterly Place
Apt. 3, was arrested Saturday morning by EPD Sgt. Jack Ramsey
on charges of DUI, violation of the implied consent law, and
possession of Schedule IV drugs. He is scheduled to appear
in General Sessions Court on April 27.
* Timothy Edward Bentley, 43, 151 Crestview Dr.
Apt 17, was arrested Friday morning by EPD Ptl. Joy Shoun
on a charge of DUI.
* Glenn Allen Hopkins, 23, 112 S. Watauga Ave.,
Apt. 14, was arrested Friday night by EPD Ptl. Shannon Peters
on warrants charging him with failure to appear on forgery
and theft, failure to appear on public intoxication, failure
to apear for aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000 and
violation of probation.
* Wayne M. Bennett, 26, 162 Old Lacy Hollow Rd.,
was arrested Saturday night by EPD Sgt. Jack Ramsey on a charge
of driving on a revoked license.
* Daniel Fredrick Mix, 49, 2620 Volunteer Pkwy.,
Bristol, Tenn., was arrested Saturday night by EPD Ptl. Shannon
Peters on charges of DUI, violation of the implied consent
law, and leaving the scene of an accident.
* Steven Bettis, 33, 115 Roy Phillips Rd., Jonesborough,
was arrested on Monday by agents with the state's First Judicial
District Drug Task Force and charged with manufacturing Schedule
II narcotics, possession of Schedule II narcotics for resale
and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held
in the Washington County Detention Center without bond and
is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Washington
County General Sessions Court.
* Keishia Gortney, 23, 104 Norris Rd., Telford,
was arrested Monday by agents with the state's First Judicial
Drug Task Force and charged with manufacturing Schedule II
narcotics, possession of Schedule IV narcotics and felony
possession of drug paraphernalia. She is being held in the
Washington County Detention Center without bond and is scheduled
to be arraigned Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County
General Sessions Court.
