Arrests

   * Graham McClain, 47, 277 Elk River Road, Elk Park, N.C., was arrested late Tuesday night by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy Bradley Johnson and charged with being a fugitive from justice out of the state of North Carolina where he was wanted on a charge of first-degree murder.
   * Trenda Lynn Foreman, 29, 531 Shell Creek Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested Wednesday morning by CCSD Deputy Kevin Cable on a capias charging her with failure to appear in court.
   * Karrie Nikki Parlier, 24, 141 Melody Lane, was arrested Wednesday night by CCSD Sgt. Penny Cornett on a warrant charging her with violation of probation.
   * Douglas Keith Conley, 44, 603 Montgomery Road, was arrested Wednesday evening by CCSD Deputy Janice Black on a warrant charging him with violation of probation.
   * Thomas Stewart, 28, 719 Beech St., was arrested Wednesday afternoon by Elizabethton Police Department Ptl. Michael Merritt and charged with speeding, driving on a revoked license and violation of the financial responsibility law.
