Arrests
* Christopher Paul Smith, 32, 145 Camelot
Court, was arrested Monday evening by Carter County Sheriff's
Department Lt. Harvey Guess and charged with assault under
domestic violence. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions
Court on Feb. 3.
* William James Casivant, 41, 192 Possum
Hollow Rd., Gray, was arrested Monday morning by CCSD Deputy
Jim Whaley on two capiases charging him with failure to appear
in court.
* Natalie Kay Cornett, 34, 107 Mountain
View Drive, Apt. 27, Johnson City, was arrested Monday night
by CCSD Deputy Kevin Cable on a warrant charging her with
violation of probation.
Theft
* Chief Johnny Isaacs of the Hampton-Valley
Forge Volunteer Fire Department reported to CCSD Deputy Amos
Halava on Monday night that approximately one week prior he
had noticed that two signs marking the Department's fire district
had been stolen. One of the signs was stolen from U.S. Highway
321 near the Little Stoney Campground and the other sign was
stolen from Gap Creek Road near the intersection of Dry Creek
Road. The total value of the signs and hardware stolen is
$82.
