Arrests

   * Jamie Dean Ashley, 25, 171 Jade Drive, was arrested early Friday morning by Tennessee Constable Harvey Shaffer on a warrant charging him with theft under $500. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Feb. 20.
   * Edward Earl Thompson, 53, 197 Brown's Branch Road, Hampton, was arrested early Friday morning by Carter County Sheriff's Department Lt. Harvey Guess and charged with aggravated assault. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Jan. 12.
   * William Kevin Cochran, 20, of Gastonia, N.C., was arrested Thursday afternoon by CCSD Deputy Donald White on two outstanding capiases charging him with failure to appear in court.
   * Samuel David Bartlett, 30, 171 Duck Branch Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested Thursday evening by CCSD Deputy Bradley Johnson on a capias charging him with failure to appear in court. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Feb. 13.
   * Teddy Wayne Jarrett, 31, 111 Smith Branch, Roan Mountain, was arrested Thursday night by CCSD Deputy Bradley Johnson on a capias charging him with failure to pay court costs and fines.
