Arrests

   * Brandy L. Kon, 20, 106 Whitson Drive, was arrested late Thursday night by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy Rick Taylor and charged with driving while impaired. She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on June 17.
   * Raymond Hopkins, 55, 526 Sink Valley Road, Butler, was arrested Thursday by CCSD Lt. Rocky Croy on a warrant charging him with violation of probation.
   * Debbie M. Pearson, 44, 243 Liberty Hollow Road, was arrested Thursday night by CCSD Deputy Rick Taylor and Tennessee Constable Harvey Shaffer and charged with aggravated DUI. She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on June 17.
   * Lawrence W. Edmunds, 68, 118 Five Oaks Drive, Johnson City, was arrested Thursday evening by CCSD Deputy Sarah Ryan and charged with DUI. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on June 24.
   * Lynn Veronica Althouse, 36, 654 Highway 91, was arrested Thursday night by CCSD Deputy Rick Taylor on a warrant charging her with violation of probation.
   * Steven Lynn Scott, 22, 1727 Field Road, was arrested Thursday afternoon by Elizabethton Police Department Capt. Clyde Croy and charged with forgery.
   * Brian K. Coggins, 30, 1038 E. Lynnwood Avenue, Johnson City, was arrested Thursday morning by officers of the Johnson City Police Department and charged with burglary. He is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on June 16.
   * Stephanie Savage, 24, 1429 Colony Park Drive, Johnson City, was arrested June 9 by officers of the JCPD and charged with obtaining narcotics by fraud.
   * Louis Angelo Mills, 53, Snow Hill, N.C., was arrested Thursday night by officers of the JCPD and charged with possession of Schedule II narcotics for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a weapon, DUI by consent and public intoxication. He is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on June 16.
   * Scott Lawrence Schreiber, 18, 4 Kay Court, Johnson City, was arrested Wednesday evening by officers of the JCPD and charged with five counts of auto burglary and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on June 16.
   * Officers of the Johnson City Police Bureau on Friday arrested Johnny E. Williams, 49, 305 Montgomery Street, No. 7, on a charge of aggravated assault. The arrest stems from an investigation into a domestic assault in violation of an order of protection which occurred at 405 W. Watauga Avenue, No. 302. Williams was being held without bond on Saturday at the Washington County Detention Center (WCDC). He faces a Sessions Court appearance on June 16.
   * The Washington County Detention Center on Friday notified Johnson City police that Barry Fortner, 26, 1155 Stone Dam Road, Chucky, was prepared to be released but had an NCIC hit confirming a warrant for forgery from the Johnson City Police Department. Officers served Fortner with the warrant at the WCDC, where he is being held in lieu of a $4,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for General Sessions Court on June 17 at 10 a.m.
  
 Theft


   * Tom Absher, 151 Earl Williams Road, reported to CCSD Deputy Eric Buck that sometime in the last week, someone entered a shed on his property and stole several tools including a Northern Tools Briggs and Stratton pressure washer and a two-and-a-half horse power Northern Tools hand compressor.
   * Sandra Morris, 1917 Powder Branch Road, Johnson City, reported to CCSD Lt. Bob Hooks that sometime between Tuesday morning and early Friday morning, someone had entered her residence and had stolen a Kenmore brand washer, a Kenmore brand dryer, a Zenith floor model television, a 27-inch Sony television, a weed eater, a Craftsman 42-inch lawnmower, an upright freezer, a couch, a love seat, a recliner, a full-sized bed, a Sony PlayStation game system, as well as her mail.
