Arrests

* Steve Alfred Humphrey, 34, 157 Swimming Pool Road, Lot 4, Hampton, was arrested Thursday afternoon by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy Kenny Cornett on a warrant charging him with assault under domestic violence. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on May 28.
   * Teddy Gerald Collins, 56, address not available, was arrested Thursday afternoon by CCSD Lt. Bob Hooks on a warrant charging him with violation of probation.
   * Alice Beatrice Messer, 28, 281 Rauhoford Road, Lot 1, Telford, was arrested Thursday afternoon by CCSD Sgt. T. Lowe on two warrants charging her with failure to appear in court.
   * Donald Keith Jernigan, 49, 414 Butler St., Mountain City, was arrested Thursday afternoon by CCSD Deputy Rick Taylor on a warrant charging him with being a fugitive from justice out of McDuffie County, Ga. He is scheduled to appear in Carter County General Sessions Court on May 27.
   * Jamie Julian Caldwell, 27, 107 Hampton Creek Road, Roan Mountain, was arrested late Thursday night by Tennessee Constable Robert Gobble and charged with DUI, violation of the implied consent law and evading arrest. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on May 27.
   * Summer M. Patrick, 23, 3 Eastridge Court, Apt. 6, Johnson City, was arrested late Thursday night by Elizabethton Police Department Sgt. John Bailey and charged with DUI and violation of the implied consent law. She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on May 27.
  
Theft

   * Carolyn S. Carver, 1004 Lynn Road, Apt. 1, reported to CCSD Deputy Sarah Ryan on Thursday that sometime during that evening, someone had stolen a 200 watt Pioneer CD Player from a 1986 Nissan truck that belonged to her step-father, Samuel E. Lester Jr., while the vehicle was parked at her residence.
