   * Officers of the Johnson City Police Bureau arrested Benjamin Travis Wood, 127, North Creek Circle, Gray, on Friday on charges of felony evading arrest, driving under the influence third offense, driving on a revoked license fourth offense, and violation of the implied consent law. The arrest stems from an attempted traffic stop, after which the driver of the maroon Subaru reportedly refused to stop and fled. A car matching the description with the same tag number and occupied by Wood was reportedly later found by officers in the Boones Creek area. Wood was transported to the Washington County Detention Center. Bond was set at $10,000. Wood faces an appearance in Washington County General Sessions Court on Monday.
   * Alice Beatrice Messer, 28, 281 Rauhor Road, Telford, was arrested Friday by officers of the Johnson City Police Bureau on charges of aggravated assault and resisting stop/frisk/halt. The arrest stems from an investigation into a fight and possible theft at the Sophisticated Otter, 400 Ashe Street. According to the report, Messer fled the scene on foot and was apprehended a short time later in the 400 block of Lamont Street. Messer was being held at the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $6,000 bond. An arraignment has been set for May 22 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
   * Officers of the Johnson City Police Bureau were called out Saturday to the area between the 700 and 900 blocks of North Street on burglaries to vehicles. Investigation revealed approximately eight vehicles had been burglarized. Following the investigation, officers arrested two white male juveniles for eight counts of auto burglary and eight counts of accessory after the fact. The juveniles were released to their parents with a $2,500 appearance bond and are scheduled to appear in juvenile court on May 30 at 2 p.m.

   * Jan McNeese, of Northridge Properties, reported to CCSD Deputy Rebecka Bowers that someone had stolen approximately $450 worth of landscaping materials, including plants, from a residence her agency represents located at 322 Maxx Jett Road, Johnson City.

* Anthony W. Hall, 33, 185 Sheets Hollow Road, was charged with second-offense DUI following a one-vehicle accident around 5:25 p.m. Friday, according to CCSD Deputy Sarah Ryan. According to the report, Hall was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Toll Branch Road when the vehicle left the roadway on the right side, traveled about 20 feet and struck a utility pole. The vehicle then returned to the roadway, crossed the center line, struck an embankment on the opposite side of the roadway, and rolled onto its top before coming to rest. The driver, identified as Hall, was determined to be under the influence of an intoxicant and was taken to Johnson City Medical Center for treatment.
