Arrests

   * Kenneth Reed, 31, 293 Austin Springs Road, Johnson City, was arrested Friday by the Johnson City Police Bureau and charged with attempted second-degree murder. The arrest stems from an investigation into a stabbing that occurred at the address. The victim, Scott Britton Stansberry, is listed in stable condition at the Johnson City Medical Center. Reed is being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on May 13.
   * William Dean Marley, 39, 1151 Blue Springs Road, was arrested Thursday night by Carter County Sheriff's Department Inv. Laverne Julian and Sgt. Audrey Covington and charged with driving on a revoked license and simple possession of Schedule VI narcotics.
   * Jonathan A. Diamond, 21, Smalling Road, Watauga, was arrested Thursday by CCSD Lt. Rocky Croy on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on charges of possession of Schedule VI narcotics, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, driving on a suspended license and evading arrest.
   * Kelly L. Metcalf, 25, 409 Ohio Ave., Erwin, was arrested early Friday morning by CCSD Sgt. Penny Cornett and charged with aggravated assault under domestic violence. She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on May 13.
   * Rosemary Matlock, 43, 1305 Spruce Lane, Apt. C, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by Elizabethton Police Department PTL Jason Shaw on a warrant charging her with harassment. She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on May 12.
   * Eric Joseph Blackburn, no age available, 3988 Highway 67, Butler, was arrested Thursday night by EPD Sgt. John Ramsey and charged with DUI. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on May 12.
   * Charles A. Cash Jr., 22, 606 Swadley Road, #24, Johnson City, was arrested Saturday by the Johnson City Bureau of Police and charged with three counts of robbery and four counts of theft of property under $500. The arrest stems from an investigation into numerous thefts at convenience stores reported in Johnson City between March 25 through April 25. Cash is being held at the Washington County Detention Center while awaiting arraignment in Washington County Sessions Court on May 12.
  
Theft

   * Terri Needham, Journeys End Road, reported to CCSD Sgt. Penny Cornett that sometime between 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 a.m. Thursday, someone broke into her residence and stole approximately 30 VCR videos, a Magnavox stereo with a CD player and a Sanyo VCR.
   * Terry Norris, an employee of A to Z Rental, Inc., 1522 W. G. St., reported to EPD PTL Michael Sproviero that a male subject had rented a Coleman generator from the business and had failed to return it at the time it was due.
   * Gary D. Plank, 210 Second Ave., reported to EPD PTL Shannon Peters on Thursday evening that while he was mowing the grass at Highlands Cemetery that day, someone had stolen a Stihl weedeater and an Echo backpack style leaf blower. The estimated value for the weedeater and leaf blower is $650.
