Arrests
* Sam Jerry Street, 54, 227 Teaberry Road,
Roan Mountain, was arrested Tuesday morning by Carter County
Sheriff's Department Deputy Johnny Miller on a warrant charging
him with failure to appear in court on a charge of retaliation.
* Cheryl Ann Nitzky, 19, 603 Magnolia Ave.,
Johnson City, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by CCSD Sgt.
T. Lowe on a warrant charging her with violation of probation.
She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on April
25.
* Johnny Ray Garland, 27, 2863 Old State Route
34, Limestone, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by CCSD Sgt.
Ken Dugger on warrants charging him with two counts of violation
of probation, failure to appear in court on a charge of third
offense driving on a revoked license and a warrant for being
a fugitive from justice in the state of Virginia.
* Randy Lee Grindstaff, 44, 605 Cherry St.,
was arrested Tuesday afternoon by CCSD Sgt. T. Lowe on a warrant
charging her with two counts of violation of probation.
* Bertie Nellie Hodge, 49, 401 Rittertown Road,
was arrested Tuesday night by CCSD Sgt. Keith Range and charged
with public intoxication. She is scheduled to appear in General
Sessions Court on April 28.
* Bobby Scott Morefield, 32, 229 Cobbs Creek
Road, Butler, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by CCSD Deputy
R. Taylor and charged with driving on a suspended license.
He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on May
9.
* Megan D. Arnold, 22, 109 Nick Heatherly Place,
was arrested early Wednesday morning by Elizabethton Police
Department PTL Joy Shoun and charged with DUI. She is scheduled
to appear in General Sessions Court on April 28.
* Victor Joe Bonner, 23, 606 Lamont St.,
Johnson City, was arrested early Wednesday morning by officers
of the Johnson City Police Department and charged with aggravated
assault. He is scheduled to appear in Washington County General
Sessions Court today.
Theft
* William Schwartz, 190 Keenburg Road,
reported to CCSD Deputy Loretta Cloyd that between 3 p.m.
and 8 p.m. on Sunday, someone had stolen a weedeater belonging
to him which he had kept chained to a pole on his property.
The weedeater is valued at $250.
* Patsy Childress, 122 White Road, reported to
EPD Sgt. John Bailey that someone had stolen her purse out
of her vehicle while it was parked at the Word of Life Church
of God, 706 Blevins Ave. She reported that the purse contained
personal identification cards along with approximately $170
in cash.
Vandalism
* Bobby Powell, Lot 22, Rigeredge Trailor
Park, Hampton, reported to CCSD Deputy Bradley Johnson that
a male subject known to her had vandalized her residence sometime
on Tuesday. According to reports, several items in the house
had been broken including furniture and holes had been punched
in several walls. The estimated value for the damage done
to the home and its contents is more than $2,000.
