Arrests

  
* James Russell Hicks, 20, 1990 King Springs Road, Johnson City, was arrested Friday morning by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy Donald White on a warrant charging him with violation of probation.
   * Danny Lee Whitson Jr., 28, 135 Little Stoney Creek Road, was arrested Friday morning by CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland and charged with assault under domestic violence. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court April 28.
   * William Bill Jarrett, 36, 900 Pardee St., was arrested Thursday night by CCSD Deputy Sarah Ryan and charged with third offense DUI and driving on a suspended license. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court May 13.
   * Anthony T. Johnson, 24, 512 Swadley Rd., Johnson City, was arrested Saturday night by Johnson City Police Department officer Eric Doughterty and charged with vandalism over $500. He is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $2,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court today.
  
Theft


   * James Burrow, 368 Sims Hill Road, reported to CCSD Deputy Jeff Markland that sometime between Monday and Friday, someone had broken into his residence by forcing open the rear door and stole a .22 caliber revolver, a set of Craftsman screwdrivers and a duffle bag of VHS tapes.
   * James Story, 127 Cates Corner Road, Hampton, reported to CCSD Deputy Matt Lunceford on Thursday that sometime the previous night, someone had stolen a gazing ball and eight angel statues from his front yard.
   * Kristi Smith, 514 Crook Street, Hampton, reported to CCSD Sgt. Tim Lowe that sometime between 11 p.m. Wednesday night and 5 p.m. Friday afternoon, someone stole approximately $35 worth of Easter decorations from her front yard.
   * Kay Pierce, 129 Dennis Cove Road, Hampton, reported to CCSD Deputy Matt Lunceford on Thursday that sometime the previous night, someone had stolen an undetermined amount of items from her lawn.
   * Debora D. Presnell, 1491 Southside Road, reported to CCSD Deputy Sarah Ryan that on Thursday, a male subject known to her had stolen her 1976 Datsun pickup truck.
   * Karen Craft, 114 Journeys End Road, reported to CCSD Deputy Sarah Ryan on Thursday that either sometime on that day or the previous one, someone had stolen her purse from her car while it was parked at her residence.
   * Officers with the Johnson City Bureau of Police have arrested a Gray man following an investigation into the theft of Schedule III narcotics from the Rite Aid Pharmacy in Johnson City. Robert L. McLean, 59, 122 Log Cabin Road, Gray, was charged with theft over $500. The theft had been occurring for over a year and a half by McLean's own admission, according to the police report. He is being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of $1,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned in General Sessions Court on April 21.
